Being one of the 3 works in my university application portfolio, this project aims to explore my identity as Chinese and the diverse, lesser-known aspects of this culture. This projects is based off of Taoism and is intended to explore the the duality of ethics and identity, as many ancient Chinese scholars commonly discusses.

02 Paw Cafe

This project demonostrates my exploration of going through the game creation process as part of my university application portfolio. The initial idea and characters are inspired by the pets I have at home and my passion in interacting with animals. Paw Cafe is targeted towards children and aims to educate them on the reponsibility we have when interacting with pets and how to treat them like friends, learning their preferences and building trust.

03 Speed & Streets

Speed & Streets is a game design-focused project and is inspired by the circumstance of devilery-men in China. They are constantly rushing to avoid their order going overtime, which may lead to deduction in payment, bad review, or even customer insults. At the same time, they break many traffic rules and put themselves and other in danger. I aim to explore this conflicting circumstance and place the players in their shoes through a board game to find a balance, if there even is one...
